Rogny-les-Sept-Écluses is a French municipality with 675 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Auxerre and the canton of Cœur de Puisaye (until 2015: canton of Bléneau ). The inhabitants are called Rognycois .
geography
Rogny-les-Sept-Écluses is the easternmost commune of the Yonne department. It is located about 51 kilometers west-southwest of Auxerre on the Canal de Briare . Rogny-les-Sept-Écluses is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Dammarie-sur-Loing in the north, Aillant-sur-Milleron in the northeast, Champcevrais in the east, Bléneau in the southeast, Breteau in the south, Ouzouer-sur-Trézée in the south and southwest, Escrignelles in the southwest and Feins-en-Gâtinais in the west.
