The inhabitants are called Rognycois .

geography

Rogny-les-Sept-Écluses is the easternmost commune of the Yonne department. It is located about 51 kilometers west-southwest of Auxerre on the Canal de Briare . Rogny-les-Sept-Écluses is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Dammarie-sur-Loing in the north, Aillant-sur-Milleron in the northeast, Champcevrais in the east, Bléneau in the southeast, Breteau in the south, Ouzouer-sur-Trézée in the south and southwest, Escrignelles in the southwest and Feins-en-Gâtinais in the west.
