Quenne is a French municipality with 472 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; it belongs to the arrondissement Auxerre and the canton Auxerre-3 (until 2015: canton Auxerre-Est ).

geography

Quenne is about four kilometers east-southeast of Auxerre . Quenne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Venoy in the north, Chitry in the east, Saint-Bris-le-Vineux in the south, Augy in the west and southwest and Auxerre in the west.

On the northern edge of the municipality the Route nationale 65 leads along the A6 to the east . Quenne belongs to the Bourgogne wine region .
