Druyes-les-Belles-Fontaines is a French municipality with 279 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté (2015: Burgundy ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Auxerre and the municipality association Puisaye-Forterre founded in 2016 . The residents call themselves Drogiens .

In 1793 the community was called Druyes , 1801 Druvé . The current name Druyes-les-Belles-Fontaines has only been in effect since 1925.

geography

Druyes-les-Belles-Fontaines is located in the south of the Puisaye landscape , about 18 kilometers northwest of Clamecy and 33 kilometers southwest of Auxerre at the source of the Yonne tributary Druyes . Druyes-les-Belles-Fontaines is surrounded by the neighboring communities Taingy and Molesmes in the north, Courson-les-Carrières in the northeast, Andryes in the east, Billy-sur-Oisy in the south, Étais-la-Sauvin in the southwest and Sougères-en- Puisaye in the west.
