Lucy-sur-Yonne is located about 32 kilometers south of Auxerre on the Canal du Nivernais . The Yonne limits the municipality to the north. Lucy-sur-Yonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities are Crain in the north, Lichères-sur-Yonne in the east and south-east, Pousseaux in the south and west and Coulanges-sur-Yonne in the north-west.
