Moulins-sur-Ouanne is a French municipality with 298 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté (2015: Burgundy ). The municipality belongs to the arrondissement of Auxerre and the canton of Cœur de Puisaye (until 2015: canton of Toucy ). The inhabitants are called Lalandais .

Moulins-sur-Ouanne is located in the Puisaye countryside , about 20 kilometers southwest of Auxerre . Moulins-sur-Ouanne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Diges in the north and east, Leugny in the east and south-east, Lalande in the south and south-west, Fontaines in the west and south-west and Toucy in the west and north-west.
