Vincelles is a French municipality with 930 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Auxerre and the canton of Vincelles (until 2015 Coulanges-la-Vineuse ). The inhabitants are called Vincellois .

Vincelles is located about 15 kilometers south-southeast of Auxerre on the Yonne , which borders the municipality in the northeast. The Canal du Nivernais runs through the municipality . Vincelles is surrounded by the neighboring communities Escolives-Sainte-Camille in the north and northwest, Vincelottes in the northeast, Irancy in the east and northeast, Cravant in the east, Bazarnes in the south and southeast, Val-de-Mercy in the southwest and Coulanges-la-Vineuse in the West.
