Rouvray is a French village with 381 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Auxerre and the canton of Chablis (until 2015 Ligny-le-Châtel ).

Rouvray is about twelve kilometers north-northeast of Auxerre . The Serein limits the community in the north. Rouvray is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vergigny in the north and northeast, Pontigny in the east and northeast, Venouse in the east, Montigny-la-Resle in the south and southeast and Héry in the west.
