Thury is a French municipality with 439 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Auxerre and the canton of Vincelles (until 2015 Saint-Sauveur-en-Puisaye ). The inhabitants are called Thurycois .

Thury is about 38 kilometers southwest of Auxerre . Thury is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saints-en-Puisaye in the north and north-west, Lain in the north and north-east, Sougères-en-Puisaye in the east and south-east, Lainsecq in the south and Treigny-Perreuse-Sainte-Colombe with Sainte-Colombe-sur- Loing in the west and southwest.
