Mailly-la-Ville is a French commune with a population of 511 (as at 1st January 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the arrondissement of Auxerre and the canton of Joux-la-Ville (until 2015: canton of Vermenton ). The inhabitants are called Maillyvillageois .

Mailly-la-Ville is 23 kilometers south-southeast of Auxerre on the Yonne . The Canal du Nivernais runs through the municipality . Mailly-la-Ville is surrounded by the neighboring communities Sery in the north, Bessy-sur-Cure in the northeast, Arcy-sur-Cure in the east, Bois-d'Arcy in the southeast, Brosses in the south, Merry-sur-Yonne in the southwest, Mailly-le-Château in the west and Trucy-sur-Yonne in the north-west.
