Merry-sur-Yonne is one French commune of 200 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ). It belongs to the canton of Joux-la-Ville (until 2015 Coulanges-sur-Yonne ) in the arrondissement of Avallon (until 2017 Auxerre ). The inhabitants are called Médériciens .

Merry-sur-Yonne is located about 27 kilometers south-southeast of Auxerre on the Yonne . Merry-sur-Yonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities are Mailly-le-Château in the north and west, Mailly-la-Ville in the east and northeast, Brosses in the southeast, Châtel-Censoir in the south and Crain in the southwest.
