Saint-Martin-sur-Armançon is a French village with 141 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ); it belongs to the Arrondissement Avallon and the canton Tonnerrois (until 2015 Cruzy-le-Châtel ).

The place is located about 38 kilometers east-northeast of Auxerre on a former loop of the Armançon , which has been used by the Baon since the Canal de Bourgogne was built . Armançon and Canal de Bourgogne run along the southern municipal boundary. Saint-Martin-sur-Armançon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Molosmes in the north and northwest, Mélisey in the north, Thorey in the northeast, Tanlay in the south and east and Tonnerre in the west and southwest.
