Ravières is located about 50 kilometers east-southeast of Auxerre on the Canal de Bourgogne . Ravières is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Stigny in the north, Jully in the northeast, Verdonnet in the east, Asnières-en-Montagne in the southeast, Cry in the south, Nuits in the west and Chassignelles in the northwest.
