Chastellux-sur-Cure is a French commune with 136 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the arrondissement of Avallon in the Yonne department and in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region . The municipality belongs to the canton of Avallon (until 2015: canton of Quarré-les-Tombes ).

Chastellux-sur-Cure is located about 50 kilometers south-southeast of Auxerre in the Morvan Regional Nature Park ( French Parc naturel régional du Morvan ). Chastellux-sur-Cure is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-André-en-Morvan in the north and west, Saint-Germain-des-Champs in the east and north-east, Marigny-l'Église in the south-east and Saint-Martin-du-Puy in the South.
