Tronchoy is a French commune with 127 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Yonne department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region (before 2016 Bourgogne ) in eastern France . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Avallon and the canton Tonnerrois (until 2015 Flogny-la-Chapelle ).

Tronchoy is located about 39 kilometers east-northeast of Auxerre on the Canal de Bourgogne . The Armançon limits the municipality to the west. Tronchoy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lignières in the north and northeast, Cheney in the south and east, Roffey in the west and Marolles-sous-Lignières in the northwest.
