Cussy-les-Forges is a French village with 338 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Burgundy ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Avallon and the canton of Chablis (until 2015 canton of Guillon ). The inhabitants are called Cusséens .

Cussy-les-Forges is about 49 kilometers southeast of Auxerre on the edge of the Morvan . The Cousin River limits the community to the southwest. Cussy-les-Forges is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Magny in the north and west, Sceaux in the north, Saint-André-en-Terre-Plain in the north and north-east, Sainte-Magnance in the south and south-east and Saint-Brancher in the south and south-west.

The former route nationale 6 (today's D606) runs through the municipality .
