Lichères-sur-Yonne is a French commune with 51 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Yonne department in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region (before 2016 Bourgogne ) in eastern France . The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement of Avallon and the canton of Joux-la-Ville (until 2015 Vézelay ). The inhabitants are called Lichérois .

Lichères-sur-Yonne is located about 45 kilometers south-southeast of Auxerre . The Yonne limits the municipality to the north. Lichères-sur-Yonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Lucy-sur-Yonne in the north and north-west, Châtel-Censoir in the east and north-east, Asnières-sous-Bois in the east, Dornecy in the south, Armes in the south-west and Clamecy and Pousseaux in the west.
