The Stinker Point is a headland on the west coast of Elephant Iceland in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is 6 km south of Table Bay .

Participants of the British Joint Services Expedition to Elephant Island (1970–1971) made the name. It is named after the giant petrel ( Macronectes giganteus ), which is referred to as a stinker in the English seaman's language .
