Domecy-sur-Cure is a French municipality with 388 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Region Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ) in the Yonne department . It belongs to the canton of Joux-la-Ville (until 2015 Vézelay ) in the Arrondissement of Avallon .

The municipality is located 44 kilometers south-southeast of Auxerre an der Cure in the Morvan Regional Nature Park . Domecy-sur-Cure is surrounded by the neighboring communities Pierre-Perthuis in the north and north-west, Ménades in the north and north-west, Saint-André-en-Morvan in the east and south-east, Bazoches in the south, and Saint-Aubin-des-Chaumes in the south-west as well Fontenay-près-Vézelay to the west.
