Montillot is a French municipality with 274 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Region Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Burgundy ) in the Yonne department . It is assigned to the canton of Joux-la-Ville (until 2015 Vézelay ) and the Arrondissement of Avallon .
geography
Montillot is located 36 kilometers south-southeast of Auxerre in the Morvan an der Cure Regional Nature Park , which borders the municipality to the east. Montillot is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Brosses in the north and west, Bois-d'Arcy and Arcy-sur-Cure in the north, Blannay in the north-east, Givry in the east, Asquins in the south and south-east, Vézelay in the south and south-west and Asnières-sous- Bois in the southwest.
