Saint-Florentin is a French commune in the Yonne department in the Région Bourgogne Franche-Comté . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Auxerre and the canton of Saint-Florentin .
Saint-Florentin is located on the Armançon River , at the confluence of its tributary Armance and the Canal de Bourgogne ( German: Burgundy Canal ). The municipality has 4362 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) and an area of 28.6 km². Its citizens are popularly called Florentinois or Florentinoises .

The Saint-Florentin- Vergigny station to the south is located at the junction of the largely disused line to Troyes from the Paris-Marseille line . The Saint-Florentin-Ville station ("Saint-Florentin-City") was on the first route.

Partner communities
Friendly relations between Saint-Florentin and Zeltingen-Rachtig in Germany have existed for over 50 years. The first contacts were made as early as 1961, which led to the establishment of a partnership between the two communities in 1966. The good relationships are also maintained. The 40th anniversary was celebrated together in Zeltingen-Rachtig from September 22nd to 24th, 2006. The 50th anniversary was celebrated from April 8th to 10th, 2016 in Zeltingen-Rachtig.
