Augy is a French commune with 1,059 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; it belongs to the arrondissement Auxerre and the canton Auxerre-3 (until 2015: canton Auxerre-Est ).

geography

Augy is located about four kilometers southeast of the city center of Auxerre on the Yonne , which borders the municipality in the west. Augy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Auxerre in the north and west, Quenne in the north and east, Saint-Bris-le-Vineux in the south and south-east and Champs-sur-Yonne in the south-west.
