Escamps is a commune in the French department of Yonne ( Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region ). The municipality has 888 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), belongs to the arrondissement of Auxerre and the canton of Vincelles (until 2015: canton of Coulanges-la-Vineuse ). The inhabitants are called Escampois .

Escamps is about 13 kilometers southwest of Auxerre . Escamps is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chevannes in the north, Gy-l'Évêque in the east, Migé in the southeast, Merry-Sec and Coulangeron in the south, Diges in the west and Pourrain in the northwest.
