Trucy-sur-Yonne is located about 25 kilometers south-southeast of Auxerre on the Yonne , which borders the municipality in the east. Trucy-sur-Yonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bazarnes in the north, Prégilbert in the east and northeast, Sery in the east and southeast, Mailly-la-Ville in the southeast, Mailly-le-Château in the south and Fontenay-sous-Fouronnes in the west.
