Champlost is a French municipality with 790 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Auxerre and the canton of Brienon-sur-Armançon . The inhabitants are called Champlostiens .

Champlost is located about 24 kilometers north-northeast of Auxerre . Champlost is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Arces-Dilo in the north and north-west, Venizy in the east and north-east, Saint-Florentin in the south and south-east, Brienon-sur-Armançon in the south-west, Mercy in the west and Bellechaume in the west and north-west.
