The Laager Point (in Chile Punta Campamento , German Lagerspitze ) is a headland of the Byers Peninsula at the western end of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located on President Beaches , which are part of the shores of New Plymouth Bay .
Chilean scientists made the naming in 1971. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated this designation into English in 1978.
