Chéu is a French municipality with 558 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté ; it belongs to the arrondissement of Auxerre and the canton of Saint-Florentin .

geography

Chéu is about 20 kilometers north-northeast of Auxerre . The small river Armançon limits the municipality to the north. Chéu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Florentin in the north and north-west, Germigny in the north and north-east, Jaulges in the east, Ligny-le-Châtel in the south and Vergigny in the west.

To the east of the municipality is the Saint-Florentin-Chéu airfield .
