Simon Bright

Simon Bright is a production designer and art director best known for his work on the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Hobbit films. At the 2006 Academy Awards , he was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Production Design category with King Kong, along with Grant Major and Dan Hennah . His work on The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey earned him another Oscar nomination in 2013 along with Dan Hennah and Ra Vincent . They also received a Saturn Award . So far, Bright has been honored twice by the Art Directors Guild , plus several nominations for the Excellence in Production Design Award.

Bright has been in the film business since the mid-1990s and has been involved in more than 15 productions, including several Peter Jackson films.
