Sougères-en-Puisaye is a French municipality with 318 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the Yonne department in the region of Bourgogne Franche-Comté (before 2016 Bourgogne ); it belongs to the arrondissement of Auxerre and the canton of Vincelles (until 2015 Saint-Sauveur-en-Puisaye ). The inhabitants are called Sougérois .

Sougères-en-Puisaye is about 34 kilometers southwest of Auxerre . Sougères-en-Puisaye is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Thury in the north and north-west, Lain and Sementron in the north, Les Hauts de Forterre in the north-east, Druyes-les-Belles-Fontaines in the east, Étais-la-Sauvin in the south and Lainsecq in the west and southwest.
