Helgi Muller

Helgi Muller (until 1952 Helgi Orr , born October 5, 1932 in Viljandi , † December 6, 1971 in Tallinn ) was an Estonian writer , translator and children's book author.

Life

Muller comes from a working class family and graduated from high school in Viljandi in 1951. In the same year she enrolled at the University of Tartu , where, after initially studying law, logic and psychology, she graduated as an external journalist in 1963. From 1960 she held various positions, from 1963 she was a freelance writer.

Helgi Muller passed away voluntarily on December 6, 1971.

Muller made his debut in the same poetry cassette as Rudolf Rimmel and Aleksander Suuman and was mentioned in the critics with friendly and praise, but also critically and negatively: Despite some successful poems, the “poetic handwriting” and the “frugality necessary for a poet in dealing with” are missing Words. "

This was followed by two further collections of poetry and two books of poetry for small children ( Weißbrotblume and Schwarzbrotblume , 1970; Die Trickkurbel , 1971). Helgi Muller also translates from Russian, Finnish, Latvian and Lithuanian.
