Taingy is a commune Déléguée in the French commune of Les Hauts de Forterre with 265 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Yonne in the region Bourgogne Franche-Comté (2015: Burgundy ).

Taingy is located in the south of the Puisaye countryside , about 21 kilometers south-southwest of Auxerre .

history

On January 1, 2017, the Commune nouvelle Les Hauts de Forterre was formed from the municipalities of Fontenailles , Molesmes and Taingy . The municipality belonged to the arrondissement of Auxerre and the canton of Vincelles (until 2015 canton of Courson-les-Carrières ).
