Triguères is a French commune with 1,293 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the canton of Courtenay (until 2015: Château-Renard ).

geography

The municipality of Triguères in the east of the Loiret department lies on the Ouanne , a tributary of the Loing , which drains to the Seine . Seen on a larger scale, Triguères is about halfway between the cities of Orléans and Auxerre and about 100 kilometers south-southeast of Paris .

The districts of Les Raignaults, Les Grands Moreaux, Les Grands-Morteaux and Les Grands Salmons belong to Triguères .

Neighboring communities of Triguères are Chuelles in the north, Courtenay and Montcorbon in the northeast, Douchy in the east, Fontenouilles in the southeast, Melleroy in the south and Château-Renard in the west.

Attractions

  • 18th century mansion Grand Courtoiseau with park and gardens (classified as a monument historique )
  • Saint-Martin church with a nave originally from the 12th century including a bell tower, in the 15th century the nave and choir were renewed, the windows decorated with stained glass
  • Statue of the shepherdess Alpais near the train station (born 1155 near Sens , died around 1210, canonized in 1874)
