Chevry-sous-le-Bignon belongs to the arrondissement of Montargis and the canton of Courtenay (until 2015: canton Ferrières-en-Gâtinais ). The inhabitants are called Chevriots .

Chevry-sous-le-Bignon is located about 76 kilometers east-northeast of Orléans in the Gâtinais am Betz landscape . Chevry-sous-le-Bignon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Égreville in the north, Le Bignon-Mirabeau in the east, Pers-en-Gâtinais in the south and southeast and Chevannes in the west.
