Villemandeur is a French commune in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Montargis and the canton of Montargis (until 2015: Amilly ). Villemandeur covers an area of 1,146 hectares and has 6,815 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017).

Villemandeur is on the Solin and Puiseaux rivers . The Vernisson also runs in sections on the eastern municipal boundary . Villemandeur is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Châlette-sur-Loing in the north, Montargis in the northeast, Amilly in the east and southeast, Mormant-sur-Vernisson in the southeast, Vimory in the south, Chevillon-sur-Huillard in the west and southwest and Pannes in the west and Northwest.
The municipality includes the localities of Vieux-Villemandeur (Vieux-Bourg) , Lisledon and La Manche .
