Varennes-Changy is about 56 kilometers east of Orléans . Varennes-Changy is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Oussoy-en-Gâtinais in the north and north-west, Saint-Hilaire-sur-Puiseaux in the north-east, Ouzouer-des-Champs in the east, Nogent-sur-Vernisson in the south-east, Langesse in the south, Le Moulinet -sur-Solin in the south and southwest and Montereau in the west.
The A77 autoroute runs through the municipality .
history
In 1971, the municipalities of Varennes-en-Gâtinais and Changy-les-Bois were merged to form today's municipality with effect from 1974.
