Bellegarde is a commune with 1,620 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It is part of the canton of Lorris (until 2015: canton of Bellegarde ) in the arrondissement of Montargis . The inhabitants are called Bellegardois .

geography

Bellegarde is about 50 kilometers east-northeast of Orléans . Bellegarde is surrounded by the neighboring communities Quiers-sur-Bézonde in the north, Ouzouer-sous-Bellegarde in the east, Sury-aux-Bois in the south and west, and Nesploy in the north-west.

The former route nationale 375 (today's D975) runs through the municipality .
