The inhabitants are called Ocriniens .

Saint-Martin-sur-Ocre is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Gien in the north and north-west, Saint-Brisson-sur-Loire in the east and south-east, Autry-le-Châtel in the south and south-west and Poilly-lez-Gien in the west.
