Dordives is a French commune with 3,313 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . Dordives belongs to the arrondissement of Montargis and the canton of Courtenay (until 2015: Ferrières-en-Gâtinais ). The inhabitants are called Dordivois .

geography

Dordives is located about 90 kilometers south of Paris in the Gâtinais countryside on the Betz river , which flows into the Loing here . Dordives is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Souppes-sur-Loing in the north, Chaintreaux in the northeast, Bransles in the east, Ferrières-en-Gâtinais in the southeast, Fontenay-sur-Loing in the south, Nargis in the southwest and Château-Landon in the west.

The A77 autoroute and the former Route nationale 7 (today's D607) run through the municipality .
