The District of Ferrières-en-Gâtinais was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement of Montargis in the Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire ; its capital was Ferrières-en-Gâtinais . His representative in the conseil général was Frédéric Néraud ( DVD ) from 2008 to 2015 .
geography
The canton was in the north of the Loiret department. In the west it bordered on the canton of Beaune-la-Rolande , in the north on the Seine-et-Marne department , in the northeast on the Yonne department , in the east and southeast on the canton Courtenay and in the south on the cantons Châlette-sur-Loing and Bellegarde . It was between 67 m in Dordives and Nargis and 141 m in Le Bignon-Mirabeau above sea level .

The capital and the canton carried the name Ferrières until February 4, 2001. In order to avoid confusion with other places, the addition en-Gâtinais was added .
