The Canton Chécy was 2015 a French constituency in Arrondissement of Orléans , in the Loiret and the region Center-Val de Loire ; its main town was Chécy . Jacques Cotteray (MDF) was the representative in the department's General Council from 1994 to 2008, and Thierry Soler ( Les Verts ) since 2008 . The canton was founded on December 30, 1981.

The canton of Chécy was 79.10 km² and had (1999) 15,945 inhabitants, which corresponded to a population density of 206 inhabitants per km².
