The canton of Briare was 2015 a French constituency in the district of Montargis in the Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire ; its main town was Briare . His representative in the Conseil Régional for the years 2004-2010 was Jean Poulain, from 2011 to 2015 it was Michel Lechauve.
geography
The canton was located in the southeast of the Loiret department. In the west it bordered on the canton of Gien , in the north on the canton of Châtillon-Coligny , in the east and south on the Yonne department and in the south on the canton of Châtillon-sur-Loire . It was between 127 m in Ousson-sur-Loire and 228 m in Faverelles above sea level .
