Adon is a French commune of 220 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the canton of Gien (until 2015: canton of Briare ) in the arrondissement of Montargis . The inhabitants are called Adonnais .

geography

Adon is located about 70 kilometers east-southeast of Orléans in the wine-growing region of the Coteaux du Giennois . Adon is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois in the north, Dammarie-sur-Loing in the east and north-east, Feins-en-Gâtinais in the east, Escrignelles in the south and south-east, La Bussière in the south and south-west and Boismorand in the west .
