Aillant-sur-Milleron is located in central France in the Gâtinais countryside on the eastern edge of the Loiret department on the Milleron river, a tributary of the Loing , about 48 kilometers east of Auxerre , about 28 kilometers southeast of Montargis , the seat of the sub-prefecture of the arrondissement , and 7, 1 kilometer southeast of Châtillon-Coligny at an average altitude of 167 meters above sea level . The Mairie stands at a height of 165 meters. Neighboring municipalities of Aillant-sur-Milleron are Saint-Maurice-sur-Aveyron in the north, Le Charme in the east, Champcevrais in the south and Dammarie-sur-Loing in the west. The municipality has an area of 2693 hectares.

Culture and sights
Aillant-sur-Milleron belongs to the Roman Catholic parish of Châtillon-Coligny in the deanery Gâtinais Sud of the diocese of Orléans .
The Saint-Martin church was built in the 12th century. It is consecrated to Martin von Tours . The nave was rebuilt around 1680. In the years between 1877 and 1891 the west facade was renewed, the vault of the nave and the window surrounds were revised, and a sacristy was built on the south wall of the church tower . In the church there is a baptismal font from the 14th century. A high relief from the 16th century was integrated into the wall during the renovation of the nave. It depicts Martin von Tours sharing his coat. Other sculptures are a crucifix from the 17th century and a Virgin and Child from the 18th century.
