Saint-Germain-des-Prés is a French municipality with 628 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Montargis and the canton of Courtenay (until 2015: canton of Château-Renard ). The residents call themselves Germanopratins .

Saint-Germain-des-Prés is located in the Gâtinais orléanais landscape , about 105 kilometers south-southeast of Paris , on the Ouanne . Saint-Germain-des-Prés is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Selle-en-Hermoy in the north, Saint-Firmin-des-Bois in the east, Château-Renard in the southeast, Gy-les-Nonains in the south, Conflans-sur-Loing in the southwest and Amilly in the west.
