Bernd Eckard von Bonin

Bernd Eckhard von Bonin (* 1702 ; † March 22, 1771 in Kieckow ) was a Prussian colonel and chief of garrison regiment No. 9 .

Life

origin

His parents were Bernd Eckhard von Bonin (* May 24, 1654; † 1730), heir of Naseband , Geller and Crangen, and his wife Maria Hedwig Luise, née von Rohwedel. She was a daughter of Hans Ernst von Rohwedel auf Kranzin and Dorothea Marie von Schoenbeck.

Military career

Bonin came to Berlin on February 1, 1719 as a cadet. On October 15, 1720, he was transferred to the Guard in Potsdam . There he was on November 1, 1739 2nd lieutenant of the 4th company of the 3rd battalion. On June 28, 1740, he was transferred as a major to Fusilier Regiment No. 39 . There he was commander of 4th Company. He then fought in the First and Second Silesian Wars without attracting any particular attention. On March 18, 1745 he became lieutenant colonel and on May 24, 1747 colonel. In September 1752 he was then appointed commander in the Fusilier Regiment No. 45 to Wesel. But on March 6, 1759, he became chief of Garrison Regiment No. 9.

After the end of the Seven Years' War he received the desired farewell in 1763 because of his age. In addition to a pension, he received the administration in Zehden to support him . He died on November 16, 1770 on Kiekow am Schlagfluss and was buried in the local cemetery.

possession

When the inheritance was divided after his father's death in 1730, he was compensated with money. In 1768 he bought part of the Wulfflatzke estate , which he bequeathed to his nephew Ernst Henning von Bonin (* 1744; † 1821).
