Solterre is a French commune in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It belongs to the arrondissement of Montargis and the canton of Montargis (until 2015: canton Amilly ). Solterre has an area of 980 hectares and has 469 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017), who are called Solterriens .
geography
Solterre is about 62 kilometers east of Orléans . Solterre is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Mormant-sur-Vernisson in the north, Cortrat in the east, Pressigny-les-Pins in the south and south-east, Ouzouer-des-Champs in the south and south-west and Saint-Hilaire-sur-Puiseaux in the west.
The former Route nationale 7 (today's D2007) runs through the municipality .
The community had a stop on the Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons-Lyon-Perrache railway line, which is no longer served today.
