Villemoutiers is a commune with 486 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It is part of the canton of Lorris (until 2015: canton of Bellegarde ) in the arrondissement of Montargis . The inhabitants are called villa monasteries .

Villemoutiers is located about 50 kilometers east-northeast of Orléans on the Bezonde . Villemoutiers is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Ladon in the north and north-west, Moulon in the north-east, Saint-Maurice-sur-Fessard in the east, Chevillon-sur-Huillard in the south-east, Presnoy in the south and Auvilliers-en-Gâtinais in the west and south-west.
