Girolles is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Préfontaines in the north and northwest, Nargis in the north, Fontenay-sur-Loing in the east and northeast, Cepoy in the southeast, Corquilleroy in the south and southwest and Treilles-en-Gâtinais in the west.
