Pannes is a commune with 3698 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Loiret in the region Center-Val de Loire . It is part of the canton of Montargis (until 2015: canton of Châlette-sur-Loing ) in the arrondissement of Montargis . The inhabitants are called Pannois .

The Bezonde and Canal d'Orléans flow through the municipality . Pannes is surrounded by Gondreville in the north, Corquilleroy in the northeast, Châlette-sur-Loing in the east, Montargis in the southeast, Villemandeur in the south, Saint-Maurice-sur-Fessard in the southwest, Ladon in the west and Mignères in the northwest.
The A77 autoroute runs through the municipality .
