history

The small village Lipnack bey Farienen , after 1876 Lipniak called, was founded on May 24, 1787th In 1874 it was in the newly built office district Friedrichsfelde ( Polish Chochoľ ) in the East Prussian district Szczytno incorporated, but in neighboring District already on August 18, 1881 Farienen (Polish Faryny ) reclassified.

On January 8, 1894, the rural communities of Lipniak, Kokosken (1938 to 1945 Kleinlindengrund , Polish Kokoszki ) and Wysockigrund merged to form the new rural community of Wysockigrund (1932 to 1945 Lindengrund , Polish Wysoki Grąd ). For political and ideological reasons to defend against foreign-sounding place names, Lipniak was renamed "Lindenheim" on June 3rd - officially confirmed on July 16th - 1938.

As a result of the war, the village and the whole of southern East Prussia were transferred to Poland in 1945 and received the former name "Lipniak" back as a Polish form of name. Today it is a village within the rural community Rozogi (Friedrichshof) in the powiat Szczycieński ( Ortelsburg district ), until 1998 the Ostrołęka Voivodeship , since then the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship belongs.

In addition, a side road leads from the neighboring village of Wilamowo (Willamowen , 1932 to 1945 Wilhelmshof) and the state road 53 to Lipniak.
