Ashley Elizabeth Hutton (born November 2, 1987 ) is a Northern Irish football player . She has played for the Linfield FC women's team since 2012 . She has played for the Northern Irish national team since 2005 .
Career
Hutton has played for the Linfield FC women's team since 2012 , with whom she has won multiple championships. On their club's website, the first international match is a game against Sweden on March 5, 2005, but the Swedish women's senior team played against Northern Ireland for the first time in 2014. However, there was a game between the Swedish U-21 team against Northern Ireland on March 5, 2005, for which only the Swedish players are listed. The Northern Irish could never qualify for a major tournament. The Northern Irish women qualified for the 2011 World Cup in third place behind France and Iceland with a difference of 13 points to Iceland. Hutton was used in all ten games. In qualifying for the EM 2013 it was only enough for fourth place. Hutton was only not used in the 4-1 win against Bulgaria in May 2012. She scored two goals in the nine games. The Northern Irish finished the qualification for the 2015 World Cup as the penultimate, and they were used in all ten games, of which only the last game was won against the Faroe Islands . The qualification for the European Championship in 2017 , they finished only second to last place, but could this time, after all, both games against the bottom club Georgia win. Hutton was used in five of the eight games. In qualifying for the 2019 World Cup , which was again finished penultimate, she still had four appearances. In qualifying for Euro 2021 , she played her 100th international match on September 3, 2019 and scored the goal to equalize 2-2 in the fourth minute of stoppage time in the game against Wales .
